GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Many students would have complaints because the school is very keen on attendance, academics, and dress code policies. Our school is the best in our district and the teachers are very good at teaching and there is a reasonable amount of discipline.

Going to Henry abbott technical High School was truly a life changing experience.I have gotten to meet friends that i'm glad to call my brothers now.I feel like the bond you make with students from abbott tech is like no other highschool. The ability to learn a trade has truly change my way I go into my adult part of my life I feel like i'm one step ahead of regular public school students since I already have learnt a trade and can get a job.Be able to learn a trade gives you that working or having a job experience at a young age that you need to have.Having smaller classes allows for the teacher to get to learn more about the students and allow for more guidance and support when doing work.Being able to have the teacher help you through work has truly been one of the reason I have succeeded at Henry abbott technical high school.Playing sports at Abbott Tech has truly been a great experience.I played football all 4 years and it truly has became a second family for me.

It's just a great school I have learned so much in my four years here. Not only do they prepare you for your trade but you get great academic knowledge as well. I have learned life skills but also had a lot of fun.

My hairdressing teachers are wonderful. My issue is with admin. They claim a “no bully tolerance policy” and fail HEAVILY to follow through. I’ve been called various slurs. Bullied for having mental disorders and it’s all gone through the system and ignored. Admin does not care about you unless they...

School was using ALEKS for their math program which was terrible but switched back to traditional teaching last year. Honors Academic courses vary in how challenging they are, science needs improvement. The VP also became the Principal which has been a great improvement. School is a small community...

as a parent of a current 10th grader, the teachers are very involved and work hard to keep the kids on track and put in lots of extra effort to help the kids. I also have a student at Danbury High School and do not feel the DHS has the same type of relationship with the kids. He is happy and learnin...
