GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Monte Viíta Christian Highschool is a brilliant International School for both US and international students. I'm an international students comes from Asia and the boarding staff greet warmly. The facility for sport in school is diverse, they have a lot of sport club and court, it is included in the tuition. A lot of activities are held.

Overall, I have found a great group of people to be with, and I love my classes this year (as a junior) but teachers and classes in previous years could have been better. Sports and extracurriculars are great here, with lots of different opportunities. The arts are better than a lot of schools (especially in the SRVUSD) but needs more funding!!! School culture is better than SRV but needs some improvement.

This school is very academic. The staff care about your education, and want you to succeed. We have access to plenty of clubs and extracurriculars through the school, and are supported by our school counselors. The student atmosphere can be racist, but less so than other schools. There is also some bullying, but less so than other schools. Over all, Monte Vista is pretty solid.

Do not send your child here if they have ANY learning disabilities or special educational needs. Teachers don't even bother to read IEP's and seem to take great delight in making students feel stupid in class. It was a really toxic environment and I am glad we were able to get a transfer to a differ...

As a rising senior, I am very lucky to go to a school that really cares about its students. The teachers are wonderful, who have experience and amazing insight into their classes. The Administrators too, take time out of their days to say hi to students as they walk through the front door, and ask t...

My experience would have been so much better at this school if they had been able to deal with the issue of school culture. The school climate was so bad that it is almost difficult to find a therapist for a teenager in Danville - whether it be a result of far too rigorous academics or a toxic schoo...
