Wadsworth Magnet School for High Achievers is located on Santa Monica Drive in the center of the Belvedere Park neighborhood in Decatur, Georgia. This public magnet school serves students in fourth through sixth grade and offers an enriched version of the elementary and middle school curriculum in Dekalb County Schools with a program designed to enable students to be creative, life-long learners who excel to reach their individual potential. Students are taught to take responsibility for their own learning while being supported by teachers, parents, stakeholders, business partners and various community members. The school’s Principal Advisory Council brings teachers, parents, counselors, students and Wadsworth community members together in order to create a space for understanding each other’s perspectives and sharing ideas for increasing student achievement and performance. Wadsworth Magnet School for High Achievers is a well-decorated school and has garnered a number of accolades over the years. In 2014, it was one of only eight public schools in Georgia to be recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School. Other achievements include being an AdvancED STEM Certified School, ranking number one in the district for college readiness in 2015 and receiving a National Beta School of Distinction award.

My overall experience is actually pretty decent for a school with elementary and middle school in it. In such a small environment the staff are able to maintain these students effortlessly and in a caring manner. I say way to go for them and I hope my last year is just as amazing from the last 4!

I hate the experience, toxic workplace, never could get ANYTHING done. Co-workers were excessively mean for no reason.

overall a good school. there are some teachers that aren't on par with others, but overall it's great. the hardest grade has to be 7th grade but some of the teachers are just there to help you out, and others seem like they're against you. basically any other 1 star review is invalid because they ar...

PS DO NOT GO TO WADSWORTH MAGNET SCHOOL U WILL GET A LOT OF WORK NO SLEEP AND MOST OF THE TEACHERS CAN"T EVEN TEACH CORRECTLY AND GIVE U ASSIGNMENT AND EXPECT U TO PASS. It is amazing! They teach you everything in such an easy manner. My child loves going here. She says there are a few things they could add, but otherwise, amazing!
