GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Pine Ridge does not prepare their students for college and regularly sets them up for failure to better their reputation and school grade.

As a student at Pine ridge I feel like I am watching the school collapse in front of me. This has more to do with the Volusia County School District than the faculty and administration itself as Volusia County continues to let the elderly politicians repeatedly decide that the county having more money is of greater importance than the success of students within the district.

It can be a good experience if you don't let pressures effect your own well-being and academic performance.

My son attended this school in 9th, 10th and part of 11th. He hated it so much he wanted to quit and get his GED. I refused and tried to talk to his guidance counselor for support and ideas to help him. Her exact words "If he wants to quit, let him quit." Really?? Once we moved and he started school...
