Blessed Sacrament is a school that fosters excellence in the context of community. The cornerstones of the exceptional education at Blessed Sacrament Catholic school are Faith, Academics, and Service. Faith formation is an integral part of the school day and supplemented by extracurricular activities and retreats. Students are instructed in critical thinking and theology as part of the school’s academic offerings. In addition to a rigorous academic program structured and overseen by the Denver Archdiocese, students can take classes in Spanish, technology, and honors mathematics. The school offers speech, a school choir, after-school enrichment, and leadership opportunities. Students are encouraged to perform acts of kindness daily. They write cards for the homeless, visit elder care homes, raise funds for the Colfax Community Network, and sponsor a winter coat drive. It is the school’s mission to teach students to better the lives of others. Extracurricular sports are available to students beginning with the third grade. Students can compete in cross country, flag football, and volleyball. The school band meets afterschool, and performs twice a year for the community.
