McAuliffe International School is a high-performing public middle school in the Park Hill neighborhood. Located at 2540 Holly St., the school serves over 1600 students. The school boasts impressive test scores, and places in the top five percent for schools in Colorado. In 2020, it won the Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon Award. McAuliffe International School is one of only three Colorado schools to receive this award. The school opened in 2012, sharing a school building with Swigert Elementary in what is now the Central Park neighborhood. In 2014, it moved to the historic Smiley campus on Holly Street. The three-story brick building with painted octagonal domes features an auditorium, band and orchestra room, science and engineering labs, cafeteria, and two gyms, as well as spacious and sunny classrooms. Outside on the campus grounds, there are sports fields, a basketball court, and a large outdoor play area. The courtyard, built in the summer of 2014, offers students a place to eat lunch in good weather. The courtyard also features an outdoor stage. The school offers a rigorous liberal arts education. Students take full year classes in language arts, math, science, engineering and technology, visual arts, and physical education. The school also offers instruction in Spanish, French and Mandarin. Before-school enrichment courses are offered free of charge Monday through Thursday, and there are athletic teams and opportunities for service and leadership projects throughout the school year.

Not accepting of other diversities, sexualities, and very rude people. Students are not kind, and neither are the students

They didn't have air conditioning, the lunch area was infested by wasps and bees, the admin enjoyed yelling at students and I got super bored most of the time. But it seems like that's kind of just how middle school goes unless you're super lucky, so I can't fully blame everyone.

My other daughter was constantly sexually harassed by another student and the vice principal said there is no proof. Both of my children...
