The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I am involved in quite a few clubs, so I can say that the involvement and the diversity of our school are very good. The teachers all are very involved in what they do, and the administration is very helpful. The only problem that I have is with the restroom facilities, which are not kept at its best conditions.

My experience as a student at Douglas county high school is that you can thrive as long as you're open to new experiences. At time it can be tough with course work or just the climate of the school. But if you go entre with an open mindset it gets a lot better.

Douglas County High School was a very big part of my life for the past years. There are so many things that are good, great, and awesome. However, a few things I would like to see to change is the quality of campus. Meaning that the cleanineess of campus can be improved by students being more aware and keeping things tidy.

This is the first year that my daughter have been in this school, and for what she have been told me that the school is pretty good, the students are the ones who are bad. For me it's pretty good high school.

This school isn’t equipped to handle students with disabilities or therapeutic needs. There’s no psychologist or psych services on campus. No one licensed to provide emotional support in the event that something happens. The environment isn’t safe for children with disabilities and the teachers are...

I absolutely love this school and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s doesnt matter if if you’re in the I.B. Program or not, your child will receive a world class educations! The sports team are under new leadership (especially football) and they made it to the second round of the State Playoffs...
