GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Very well educated staff involved in the learning process. Teachers are helpful and want to see students succeed. I enjoyed my overall experience at Tunstall High School. I'm a proud Trojan!

Tunstall High School is a well known school within my district. We have athletic teams, a variety of clubs, and many other activities to get students involved. Overall this school is a great place to learn and the staff will help you in any way possible. I will say there are some rules I don't agree with but many of those are established by the school board. I also believe that athletics are important but we spend too much time focusing on certain athletic teams like basketball and baseball, that the other sports get pushed to the side. For example, our girls soccer team and boys football team do not get as many benefits and funding compared to other athletic teams here.

Great teachers and academics. I have enjoyed my time there. The activities are also good if we are in a regular school year. Wish we had more opportunities though.

I moved my small family from Caswell County, NC to the Tunstall High School district because of Tunstall's reputation of being the best school in the area and this is what we found: a principle who never smiles or has a kind word to say except to a very select few of her buddies, you can never get t...
