My overall experience at Duarte High School was good! Most of the teachers are nice and help you towards your goals. I do wish that the school offered more elective classes though.

What I like about Duarte High School is everything. This is because it has so many options to choose from. From arts to sports. Including all the school activities that there are. There are many clubs including ASB, Key Club, Interact, and so many more. Duarte is a good high school to go to if you want to have fun, make friends, and feel comfortable learning in the environment.

The school is on the small side, which is great for a close-knit community. Great support from all staff is always there.

The teachers at this school are not effective they only care about cashing their checks as soon as they get tenure. The students suffer because of this and have to deal with the consequences of the greed not only of the teachers but of the district as well.

Overall I now understand why enrollment is declining. My children have gone to Duarte schools since Kindergarten, and I have never seen such lack of communication until this year at DHS. Teachers do not want to work with me as a parent.

If your child is a diligent student, Duarte High School is an excellent school with great programs and enthusiastic teachers.
