Eden Prairie High School serves the community of Eden Prairie as a public school in School District 272, providing almost 3,000 ninth through 12th graders with the academic and extracurricular preparation they need to pursue successful college careers. Established in 1923, Eden Prairie High School's current building on Valley View Road was built in 1981, but expanded throughout the 1990s to represent four wings over three floors that include an auditorium, the school's Performing Arts Center (PAC), two gyms, the EagleVision television studios, music rooms and machine shops in the North Wing. Over 425 courses, including AP study are offered at Eden Prairie High School including instruction in Spanish, French, German and Chinese. Some of Eden Prairie's enrichment opportunities include band, chorus, orchestra, ceramics, sculpture, computer arts, drawing, painting, photography, dance, drama, theater and video film production. The red, black and white Eagles soar to victory in soccer, volleyball, softball, baseball, football, hockey, swimming and diving, cross country, track, gymnastics, skiing, lacrosse, tennis, golf, badminton and competitive cheerleading. In each of these categories Eden Prairie High School has won numerous state championships. Eden Prairie High School has been nationally recognized for its outstanding scholastic programs, demonstrating its commitment to excellence.

It is a great school with lots of opportunities to get ready for college. It offers lots of different activities and sports to cater to a lot of different interests.

Overall had a very positive experience. EPHS offers a variety of courses and electives for all interests. The staff are super personal and caring to each and every student. The school is very well updated and has a strong student body. If I could see something change I would like to see more staff and student interaction in school activities.

To be successful in this school, you have to take advantage of all the resources provided as well as participating in clubs and extracurricular activities. There are plenty of great teachers at Eden Prairie High School that are there to help you succeed.

It has been awful. I requested help from teachers and administrators in making my son follow rules and do homework and actually attend class. They said they did not have to enforce due dates, and they never reported him truant to Hennepin County even though he often skipped class. I pulled my other...
