GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Chapin has been nothing, but amazing. The administrator's do their job as told and when they need to. As well as teachers, most of them know how to properly teach. As for the food, it's very good quality to where even teachers get cafeteria food. The past 4 years at Chapin have been amazing. I feel that the worst parts are very minimal, not much has happened that was extremely bad. One thing I would definitely change for chapin would be some graduation rules for any upcoming seniors.

I had to transfer schools because of how bad it was there, as a student with 504 accommodations I often found myself unable to use these accommodations. with the large military population attending chapin where are cliques that develop. not to mention the violence threats. in the span of two weeks there had been two gun insists, often times the teachers would tell the students how they hated their jobs and are purposely failing because it brings them joy.

Chapin High School really was not a great school. Very rarely would there be teachers who were willing to help their students. I attended Chapin for my junior and senior year and did not enjoy it at all. The school was built nice and they had amazing sports teams. Unfortunately, some teachers and faculty members are just rude and not willing to help their students.

If your child has disabilities, do not send them here. The teachers completely disregard the accommodations for IEPs (which is illegal) and tell my kid his disability "isn't real," despite his medical diagnosis and the school papers to prove it. Nothing changed for my child's IEP even after many con...

This school doesn't care about their students, they will allow your child to be bullied, harassed, and belittled by not only the students but the as well. Please send your children elsewhere!

We moved here in July of 2015, and although it was a long process we were able to get our three older children in this amazing school. The attendance staff and teachers along with counselors are the best we have yet to experience. Ms Chapelle, was extremely helpful and dedicated during registration....

I hope more military parents share their experiences with Chapin HS, good and bad! Changes need to be made with current policies.
