Welcome to the El Paso Leadership Academy. The school teaches children from sixth grade to eighth at its flagship Texas Avenue location and both middle and high school at its Joe Battle Boulevard campus. Currently, the Texas Avenue campus has more than 200 students and specializes in small classes with a low student-to-teacher ratio. This helps the teachers spend more one-on-one time with each child to better tailor lesson plans and activities for them. The public charter school is tuition-free, and uniforms with the school’s logo are required. The Leadership Academy was established in 2014 and is a college preparatory school. Its goal is to inspire students to become strong leaders and lifelong learners as well as to be committed to bettering their communities. The school has been in the top 5 for academic growth across the state of Texas three years in a row, and it earned 88 points out of 100 in the 2018-2019 school year overall performance report. The academy participates in several educational programs such as special education, gifted and talented courses, the emergent bilingual program, and the 504 program. If you’re looking for a place where tradition meets innovation, why not try the El Paso Leadership Academy?

I was a student when the school was barely in its second year as a 6th grader. I appreciated the student to teacher ratio. It was personalized and there was a sense of community. However, as it was a new school, not everything was completely consistent or established yet. From what I've seen, they're doing everything they can to continue building from scratch.
