The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Mission Early College has been a great experience for me and I love the campus. The open campus gives a sense of tranquility and the small amount of students increases the chances of concentrating in our school and finishing with our classes. Mission has made it really easy to apple for dual credit classes and with it's tutoring program, it's easier to keep track of my grades. All the faculty and student body was very welcoming to me when I transferred from my previous school.

Through my years at this school, I have gotten my associates degree at EPCC and so far that has been a big accomplishment for myself. Through the hard work that I've put, I have managed to get ahead in my career and save thousands of dollars in the process.

Mission Early College High School is definitely an interesting and some what untraditional school. A lot of your classes are picked by you and it's a very hands on experience. It really teaches you to adapt to a college level environment and make connections with professors. While Mission doesn't have sports, they do make up for it with a wide variety of academic clubs. The campus is also pretty small so it's like a family because everyone knows everyone.

My child got ahead while at Mission, saved money on college, learned a lot, got involved and made lasting friends.

I am a senior at Mission Early College High School. My main concern with MECHS is the incessant push to attend UTEP. It is apparent that going to another university is discouraged. I have also found a problem with some of the teachers. Most teachers at MECHS are extremely dedicated to their students...
