GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Spectrum is a good option for those who want a smaller classroom setting. Most of the teachers are great and willing to help students. They are planning on making upgrades to facilities but I'm not sure it will make much of a difference without improved administration and sports programs. Overall, the academic side of the school is great and the availability of college prep and college in high school classes is great. PSEO is also a highly promoted option for students.

I feel very prepared for college because of the college readiness this school has. I do feel that Spectrum has a lack of diversity though.

Insanely toxic environment, incompetent teachers, and non-inclusive ideals. There's almost no class selection, electives are limited, and little opportunities for advancement.

We have moved quite a bit due to employment and have had the unique experience of having our children attend schools in multiple states and districts. Two of our children attended Spectrum while our third attended the other high school in this area (all at the same time). Every school and every dist...

I have had two children attend. Teachers are phenomenal and the environment is positive.

I would say that my experience here has been good up until the last couple years. Administration made changes that were not communicated to teachers or students that left the school in shambles. Teachers left because of it. Now, the school is attempting to assign a “video project” that is blatant fr...
