The Westmark School is a private school in Encino, California, serving students from second to 12th grade in a lower school, middle school, and upper school. Westmark caters to students with language-based learning differences, including but not limited to dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. In fact, only students with language based learning differences or other processing disorders are eligible to apply for enrollment at Westmark.
Westmark serves students from over eighty zip codes, but continues to offer small classes. The Westmark School is committed to an individual approach to learning, understanding that that unique students often thrive in a unique environment. Through a creative and experiential curriculum, Westmark offers students the opportunity to nurture their differences and excel academically. Westmark’s philosophy is aimed at invigorating their students with a love for learning and showing them a possible path to success.
While Westmark was founded in 1983, it has operated as a fully independent school since 2005. The school’s impressive campus contains a Science, Technology, and Media building, a Fine Arts Building, and a sports facility. With various sports teams and a myriad of clubs, the Westmark school promises more than just academics and provides their unique students with a well-rounded education to help them learn, grow, and excel.

We have been a part of the Westmark community for close to 2 years now. Our kiddo loves attending school and is growing both in their academics and their confidence. The resources they offer to support their students is second to none.

Our Westmark journey started 7 years ago with our oldest son. He went from a place that didn't understand how he learns and to a place where he can thrive. He's gained confidence in himself and understands his way of learning. I truly believe Westmark has benefited my son's education now and beyond high school.

Westmark is truly a unique institution. With extremely small class sizes, instructors are able to tailor the curriculum to meet the needs if each individual student. All of the teachers are well versed in educating students with special needs. Our son has grown, as a student, by leaps and bounds since being enrolled at Westmark. We are truly grateful for having seen his growth through the Westmark experience. I highly recommend this school.

Westmark has been the greatest gift in our families life . Our family was in litigation for years with Los Angeles unified . The staff and teachers at Westmark at the utmost compassionate and thoughtful humans. Westmark gave our family breath again .

This school has been such a blessing for both of my kids! (they have been there for 2 and 4 years now.)
