Kent Denver, a private school in the Cherry Hills Village neighborhood, serves students in sixth through 12th grade. The school’s mission to transform the lives of students and the community through extraordinary educational experiences is evident even in its facilities. The scenic 200-acre campus includes two reservoirs, a boathouse with canoes, outdoor amphitheaters, hundreds of trees and a wetlands area. This is in addition to more than 65 classrooms, science labs, a physics design shop, virtual reality equipment and sports areas. Since its origin in 1922, Kent Denver has developed a reputation for innovative academics. Along with an expanded core curriculum, students can choose from electives such as entrepreneurial thinking, gardening, podcasting, marine science and more. Self-directed learning opportunities ranging from global travel to robotics and the Innovation Scholars Program are available to high school students. School lunches include salad and soup bars, rotating vegan and international fare, homemade bread and locally sourced ingredients, along with a living wall of fresh herbs. Serving others is also part of the Kent Denver philosophy, with students completing 80 hours of service by graduation. The list of esteemed Kent Denver graduates is long and includes former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, along with Colorado Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Kourlis, professional golfer Brandt Jobe and Indy 500 race car driver Buzz Calkins.

I've gone to Kent Denver School since 6th grade, and I love how passionate our teachers are about their respective fields; I love our beautiful campus, and most of all, I love the friends and connections I've had the privilege of making throughout my time here. Two things that I've found to be not so enjoyable are the lack of diversity at Kent and our new schedule this year, which has had some students feeling overwhelmed with the length of the school day, especially those who play sports.

Great teachers who care about the students. Students can be nice but can also be cliquey and mean. Lots of money here and that makes students kind of entitled. The food at the dining hall is great.

My first day of freshman year I cried, it was a new school and I didn't know anyone. I walked into the Admissions office because they were the only friendly faces I remembered and Ms. Scobie greeted me with open arms. I remember her actually rescheduling a meeting so she could sit and listen to me. Her reassurance, kindness and love for me was obvious. I'm a senior now and have never felt happier, comfortable and so thankful for everything Scobie does and did for me that day.

This School is by far the most amazing school. The small environment means lots of engagement. I see statement that "Kent" is not racially diverse. Colorado is generally not a very diverse state. That being said. People who think it's not diverse. Have not been around the school in 2022/23. It's ext...

I have mixed feelings about my time at Kent Denver. I attended throughout high school, and often look back and regret the decision to attend. To start on a positive note, the teachers are absolutely amazing. They are overwhelmingly supportive, knowledgeable, and, for lack of a better phrase, they ju...

A warm and welcoming community, with both a dean and advisor to maintain communication and check in with students. My son finds the students respectful and engaging. During our two years, the teachers have all been superb. Quality food in the dining hall. A very active Parent Association with an abu...
