The red brick, castle-like building boasts 1.3 million square feet of space. Evanston Township High School's incredible Gothic architecture adds to its collegiate appeal, and its proximity to Northwestern University provides ample opportunities for students to pursue higher learning opportunities. Ranked by Niche as the #30 college prep school in Illinois, the school's curriculum includes AP courses like Latin, chemistry, music theory and French. Evanston Township's orange and blue mascot, Willie the Wildkit, cheers students on in its varsity athletic programs that include golf, swimming, football, volleyball, wrestling, fencing, badminton and tennis, to name a few. School facilities include a planetarium, vast greenhouse and adjacent farm. The South Technology Center houses 200 computers across six labs for STEM-based learning. As a prominent public high school, Evanston Township High School is a historical and academic landmark in Evanston and one of the North Shore's best college prep schools.

I have enjoyed ETHS so far. It is a very big school but they have an emphasis on community which helps it feel smaller. I like the teachers a lot. My one complaint is that while they work hard to serve underprivileged kids and people with learning disabilities -and this is great! They don't work as hard to give gifted kids the enrichment they need.

Overall, I've been enjoying my experience at the high school. The curriculum can be challenging, but it's good at preparing for after high school. The teachers are also very nice.

It is a huge school of 5000 kids. They have tons of resources, but the school is way too big and disorganized for it to have any real culture or singular community. It's safe, there are security guards because of the size of the school. They give free computers, and school supplies. The size of the school means they have tons of money, and theres tons of free stuff.

While Evanston Township High School (ETHS) may provide strong support for students with IEPs and other learning plans, it falls short in serving academically advanced students. The school prioritizes inclusivity in honors courses, allowing all freshmen and sophomores to enroll regardless of previous...

We've been so happy with ETHS. Coming from a small middle school we were wondering how the transition to be a big school would go. It was very smooth. The school does so many events for 8th graders to get them comfortable and is very communicative with parents. There are so many clubs and activities...

I attended this school and I hated it. It was too big and I was not comfortable with the demographics.

Being a minority student and coming from a small private middle school, the transition to here was hard. Many students already had friends from their own public school. After a while, everyone started to come together and break away cliques and start new ones with different schools. The teachers are...
