Established in 1935, the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School is dedicated to providing a faith-based education to preschool through eighth grade students in a loving and supportive environment that celebrates the whole child, spiritually, intellectually and physically.
Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School promotes a rigorous academic curriculum that emphasizes STREAM or science, technology, religion, engineering, art and mathematics, while instructing children in the daily observance of their beliefs, attending Mass.
At each grade level students are guided toward progress. In early childhood, students enjoy "Circle Time" for songs, music, stories and group discussions. During elementary years students study religion, reading, writing, social studies and math.
By middle school, students engage with American History covering the Civil War, Reconstruction, Progressive Era, World War I, Great Depression, World War II and Cold War as well as advanced mathematics and expository writing.
Students participate in football, cross country, cheerleading, soccer and volleyball to learn the dynamics of teamwork. Extracurriculars provide enrichment through band, children's choir, bell choir, drama club, chess club and many other activities.
Committed to promoting spiritual perspectives and building young persons of character, purpose and passion, the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School continues to impact the community.
