GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I started 71st high school as a freshman in 2019, That had to be the best year until covid came. When covid came that stopped a lot of plans that me and as well as my friends had planned for the year, but it did however give me a lot more free time in what in what I wanted to major in and where my idea of going to college would be and that's how I came to wanting to major in nursing. Even though Covid-19 put a big rift on my high school life of giving me only limited time to do what I had planned on doing. I was still able to be a part of my high school's marching band, be apart of national honor society of high school scholars, complete college classes and graduate with my CNA 2 license and get accepted into all my colleges because of my academics, So I would say being a student at 71st has definitely helped me find myself.

This is a great school to go to if you want a good education. The teachers here are very helpful and make you smart. They have a lot of extra curricular activities in this school. They are all very helpful and a good thing to add to your record.

The worst ever! As a teacher, as a parent and as part of the community. Everybody knows how bad this school is, but the School Board is doing nothing to help teachers, students and parents get rid of the principal

The new Administration staff Parker,Ray, Witherspoon and Porter are amazing for the school! Students as well as teachers are actually excited to come to school because they bring so much positivity to the environment. I pray that they don't leave. It seems like it is hard to keep good people at this...
