Webb Elementary School is on the northeastern edge of Ferndale on Woodward Heights Avenue, two blocks from I-75. The school also borders Martin Road Park, a popular destination in the community. Webb Elementary is a public school in the Hazel Park School District and offers classes for Kindergarten through 5th grade. There is also an Early 5s program available that meets Monday through Friday for full days. There are 326 students at the school, with a student-teacher ratio of 11 to 1. The school mascot is the Webb Wolf. There are some clubs and groups available for students, such as the Service Squad, whose members help teachers in their classrooms. Members of another group, the Safety Squad, help monitor doors as well as crossing for Woodward Heights. Finally, there is an option for 3rd through 5th graders to choose between STEAM Club or Theater. The STEAM Club does several projects, including a Lego League competition this fall. The school is focused on a theme of “Literacy for All” this year, as faculty and students follow the “WEBB Expectations” of We do our Best Everyone is Safe Be Respectful Be Responsible The school has a positive reputation and is known for its teachers caring about the students and their education. Parents are very involved, and the school sends out a monthly newsletter to keep them updated.

It seems that this school has no leadership. When I am told something will be done involving my son it comes out weeks later that nothing was done and have been dealing with this since I went to this school. Too many cheifs and no indians.

Completely underwhelming! The problems just grow the longer you are there.
