GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I liked how the teachers were very engaged and were very willing to help students who did not understand the lesson. In addition, the college counselor Ms. Summers was a huge help to guiding me to applying for college in my senior year. The school also has a lot of AP classes for students to take. There are also a lot of college classes and career based classes for students who wish to become prepared for their future careers.

Flushing Highschool has provided a safe space for students of all colors, races and LGBTQ + communities. The environment is clean and it overall has a very good atmosphere. It has also done a good job transitioning new students to the new environment. The school offers many clubs, but I would love to see more extracurricular activities.

I would rate this school a solid 8 only because everything that I've experienced seemed so casual to me, and I've handled it like any other student could.

Coming from a third world country in 2016, it is the first school that I went to in US and the school embraced me with her arms wide open. The school not only taught me academic subjects but also enlightened me with morality and code of life. Both the teachers and the students gave me a warm welcome...
