GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Forest Lake Are High School has a good grasp of the need for multiple choices regarding what to do after high school. They have many electives covering many different life areas outside of school. I wish they had more classes for the little things in life such as finance skills and how to do things around the house.

The best part about my school is the friends that I made and the elective classes that J was able to take, I enjoyed learning about Criminalistics and Personal Money Management. I like how most of the teachers are very chill and laid back. The worst part about my experience would be that it was hard for me to fit in at first because it was a predominantly white school and there were very few Asians but I'm glad I was able to get used to the environment and make some friends. I would like to see the school to be more diverse.

I really enjoyed my time at Forest Lake Area High School. The people I've met will be my lifelong friends. This school was quaint and homely. I would love to see a push for bettering the environment of the school- especially with the bathrooms.

They may have good teachers but the deans and principles don't care about the kids mental health, I've had 2 of my kids complain about how they are treated and what happens when they to to work something about when they're struggling. Forest lake high school seriously brings down your kids mental st...

Nothing but the best support from the staff. FLHS went above and beyond to help our family and child to get whatever is needed to graduate. Everyone bent forward and backward to help. I get emotionally writing this. We shall never forget! Teachers and Dean H. Errickson did so much. Thank you!

I feel torn because there are some genuinely good teachers here at this school which make the academic side of the school pretty good. I left feeling well prepared for college and with a good amount of college credits earned from their courses. The problem comes with how much you care about academic...

The Forest Lake School District is very good. Most parents that give negative reviews are basing it on personal opinion not knowledge or facts. Parents think they can demand what they want and if their child struggles or has issues it is always someones fault. Typically never analyzing their or the...
