GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience of Gainesville High-school wasn't that bad. There are things they have to work on like the the buildings and school threats.

The school is focused on the Cambridge Program, and the specific students within this program receive access to the best teachers, like the AICE Biology or AICE Chemistry teachers, whereas other students have some less-qualified instructors who detract from the overall learning environment.

The faculty is friendly, reachable, and very helpful. The school is clean and well kept with the administrators pitching in t...

We chose GHS with great expectations for the Cambridge Program. GHS has been profoundly disappointing, anyone moving here from the NE would find woefully inadequate teachers, classrooms without AC, sub par labs and overall pitiful infrastructure that seems unchanged since the 1950s. GHS Cambridge fa...

I have had two children attend this school, one being in the highly academic Cambridge program and the other in mainstream classes.
