GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Ball high school has left me with many memories, both good and bad. I have seen lots of fights and other altercations, but on the other hand, I have also seen people helping each other.

When I transferred to Ball High School, I was super nervous and overwhelmed with all these feelings. Until I could speak with my amazing teachers for example: Mr. Shinn, Mrs. Hayden, Mr. Wasserstorm, and Mrs. Polzin. They all had an amazing impact on me during my first year at Ball High. They helped me get to know the school better, get involved with the school community, and get involved in school clubs, sports, and other types of organizations. I still see them and I'm very grateful to have been one of their students.

Ball High School is an average school to attend. What I like about the school is that it is connected to the community college close by so it offers a lot of college classes to take in high school. They also have a program called Galveston Career Connect (GCC) that helps pay for AP tests, classes, and so on. If there was something to change about Ball High is the food. The food is not very tasty, which makes it hard for the students to consume it. A lot of food is wasted during lunch because students do not eat them.

My daughter completely loves this school. The teachers truly care about the children. Since we have moved here from belton school district my daughter has gone from pretty much failing to close to be a straight A student. The teachers want the children to succeed in both school and life. Best school...

I am currently in my 4th year workin at Ball and absolutely love everythuing about it! The choices that are offered to the students are incredible, you can't get what Ball offers at many other schools and the pride and spirit are spectacular...can't wait until my first born child attends Ball!

Ball high is diverse and totally askew. It seems like a "lockdown" environment but maybe it needs to be. Who ruined this school for our students? Something must have happened prior to 2004. I have 2 sons who are very bright and talented. One dropped out in his senior year and got a GED. The other is...

I was shocked the first time I visited Ball High! Many students are causing behavior problems in class which makes it hard for the teachers to teach and the students to learn at their full potential..All students are also marked "absent" if they are 1 minute late to a class. There is no time to use...
