A public school for students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, Burk Elementary School is an Arizona state award-winning school. The Burk Bobcats are part of a community that challenges students to expand their learning skills. As a member of the Gilbert Public Schools District, the curriculum is integrated and hands-on and is based on STEM, language arts and social studies. Gifted programs give accelerated learners the ability to move forward in their academics. As a Title I school, special education is available with the goal of providing the necessary tools to ensure all students are successful at school and in the community. Gilbert Public Schools District has an adult education program for GED preparation classes as well.
Student life is vibrant for the Burk Bobcats as clubs and activities provide space for personal growth and collaboration. Athletics build character and overall well-being for the students at Burk Elementary School with various sports played throughout the year. Summer camps and student enrichment field trips introduce new concepts and ideas for the students to explore. Elementary school students have access to digital citizenship classes to learn about safety and responsibility on the internet while music, art and the library engage the students in critical thinking skills. The teachers truly go the extra mile at Burk. From staying after school just to "chat" with students to coming in early for homework help. They communicate regularly with parents so we are always informed on what's going on in the classroom. They are highly knowledgeable and it is evident they show up each and every day ready to bring their best. We couldn't ask for better teachers and hope each and every one of them stay.

The principal is very aware and concerned with all safety practices. The school is very well staffed at all events and the principal takes great measures to make sure any safety concerns are addressed. Anything that could even seem remotely as a liability, the principal finds an alternative solution. Child safety is a big priority.

Burk is a school rich in diversity and inclusion. As a school, we qualify for Title 1 services. The entire staff works, tirelessly, at insuring student comfort, safety & learning. The structure is amazing as it focuses on building character. My girls have been attending the past three years and we stay in the area just for this school !
