As the home of the Vikings, Val Vista Lakes Elementary School serves more than 500 children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade as part of the Gilbert Public Schools District.
At this A+ School of Excellence, students consistently perform well above the state averages in reading and math test scores. In part, you can attribute some of the success to the school’s award-winning K-12 Digital Citizenship Curriculum which prepares students for the 21st century and provides all students with Chromebooks so each child has equal access to 1:1 technology.
In addition to core subjects, Val Vista Lakes embraces enhanced learning with music, arts, library and physical education so all students can flourish with well-rounded development. To help every child succeed at their own pace, the school also offers special education and gifted programs as well as a renowned accelerated learning program for advanced students.
Outside of the classroom, students also can participate in a wide range of enrichment activities including chess, dance, music, science, LEGO engineering, Kinder Robotics, Young Rembrandts and beginners sports training, among others offered seasonally.
Aside from a before- and after-school care program, Val Vista Lakes Elementary also hosts a number of fun events ranging from the school’s Viking Expo to popular Donuts With Dads events to make every child feel a welcome and supported part of their community.
