This school did not focus on student involvement. It did not have a good sense of community and teachers and staff did not do much to change that. Despite that, being in college has made me realize that Garnet Valley High School did a lot to prepare its students for higher education.

As a parent I must say you have to advocate for your teens here ! The freshman math teacher is just not good in my opinion. She gets very stressed and rude when kids need extra assistance and then will say well teens are on their phones in class when this is not even true ! First off if kids were on their phones everyday in the class wouldn't you so something about it ? So many teens in this one person's math class are struggling and then the teacher acts nice Oh I am here to help him ! Then treats him poorly when he asks come on come !! Put this here put this there ! I find math at this school sub par. Some of the teachers are great ! And I can't say enough about them others do sub par teaching

Garnet Valley is an extremely friendly environment with a lot of opportunities to branch out and explore who you really are and what your interests are. It is a school where you're open to trying new things without being judged or put down, rather encouraged, in order to find your place in the school. For me, I decided to try football and acting for the first time, and I was encouraged a lot by my friends and peers to push myself to try new things and commit to those that I really enjoyed.

This school district is phenomenal! Every teacher is so hands on and puts forth so much time and effort for each individual student. My special needs child was bullied at the school so he stopped going. The school says they will support him transitioning to another school. He did nothing wrong. He needs help. And they wish he would move outside the district? Outrageous.

Garnet valley high school is a great school. Am enrolled in all honors/AP courses, and enjoy my time at school. Have talked to students in college and they say that GV preprares (especially AP and honors) students so that they feel prepared when they reach college.
