While I cannot say it was amazing, I can say that it set me on the right path. This school, despite the odd scenarios I went through, was pretty alright. I liked the teachers, the food was alright, and I definitely made some lasting friends.

mr manoogian is a mean teacher and i advise that that you keep your kids away from this place. Arizona has enough trouble already with education...being the fourth worst state in education in the country. and this school makes it 2 times worse. mr manoogian hits us with yard sticks and makes all of the females very uncomfortable. he even tries to get really close to every kid and touch them. and last year he farted in my face

For middle school, the sports and fitness was okay. There isn't a big field which prohibited football. However, when I attended, there was a new gym built and it really helped with the indoor sports.

I have had 4 children attend Desert Star over the past 10 years and have always been pleased with the school's expectations of my kids. Desert School is a wonderful school. My son is excited to go to school each day. I'm very impressed with his progress. All of the teachers and staff are caring and concerned about all students.
