The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Overall, GNG is not a bad school. There are several excellent opportunities for students, however, the information is not always shared in a timely manner (mostly related to class offerings and college prep). The environment is safe, and seems to be comparative to other small town schools. We are average to low average for sports and our athletic facilities reflect that.

The teachers help you if you need it and they will tailor your schedule and class time to fit the needs of each student. It is a great place to learn and a great environment to be yourself.

This school has some strict rules. No phones allowed AT ALL during the school day, which yes, could promote better learning, but I am an honors student and my grades have been the same every year, whether i've had my phone or not. School seemed to be a drag for me almost and I felt as I was just going through the motions everyday; my only release being sports (which overall, are pretty good here).
I would absolutely recommend this school to parents in the area. My children are engaged and seem to like every aspect of this school. Both...
