GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have really enjoyed my time at Monument, there are a ton of friendly staff members and plenty of things to get involved in. The major drawback is the building, which is basically falling apart. The student body is also hit or miss, which you will find at most high schools.

I like the school, overall it is very good. The teachers and community are all nice and helpful. Our school has a really good theater and arts program.

I had a great time in high school just based on the people who were surrounding me. There were no bullies except for the handful of staff, food was awful, but all in all it was a very decently average school. I loved that it was on acres of land, we had excursions all the time.

Our son just graduated from Monument Mountain in Great Barrington, MA, and we couldn't be happier with everything about the school. Excellent teaching staff, fantastic, devoted Principal, (Marianne Young), and a fine student body. 5 stars!

One of the greatest strengths is the sense of community that is nurtured by school leadership, teachers and staff. They encourage and promote academic excellence, are willing to be creative with independent study and also have a great respect and and strongly support opportunities in the arts -( mus...
