The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

the good: super small classes. writing '24 has thirteen students, which is split the second year into even smaller groups. in my department, we engage in helpful workshops & critiques, study some pretty criminally underrated masterpieces, participate in writing competitions (& win), & have discussions with ivy recruitment & visiting writers. all departments have mind-blowing performances. i've found that most form very intimate relationships with their teachers due to their drive & passion, which is a splendid thing in the art world. the campus is magnificent; the dorms are cozy— despite the weird smell... the bad: the administration. the admin is constantly looking for opportunities to punish, & there's a tone of undeserved lack of trust. super strict & condescending. also, lots of spoiled rich kids. the ugly: the food. it's just miserable. despite the squabbles i've had, i predict that there will always be a very special place in my heart for scgsah. it's worth it— i promise.

I absolutely love the community created by the students who go here. My favorite part about this school is the access to resources in all areas of education: arts, academics, mental health, and physical health.

This is not a school for the faint of heart, in my experience, but my years there helped establish a discipline and accountability th...
