GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My high school experience has been a typical experience. I started middle school in the STEMS program and gained a lot of information related to the math and sciences that helped me throughout high school. I joined the marching band in 9th grade and made connections with a great group of friends. If there was one thing I would change it would be to have a bigger selection of electives. I feel like our district is limited in the options we have.

I would say my school is not the best of schools I say this because of how the teachers sometimes how to decide to teach and refuse to not update their curriculum or listen to the student. I would also like to add that Im in the AFJROTC program and we have had some problems with recruiting in our program because the school guidness counselors asked the do they really want to do AFJROTC and I have even heard that some were denied the opportunity for this class because they didn't wanna change up their schedules. This school is good when it comes to friendliness but when it came to education some teachers would just gives us bsy work all the time and never interacted with us. The principle is an amazing person tho.

MY experience with Emerald high school has been interest at the most. Ever since I joined Emerald during the year of 2017 where I met new peers, move place to place, tried new activities, gained vast knowledge of subjects in which I was unfamiliar with. I would rate Emerald a 4/5 star rating due to the administrates who take the time to speak to each of the students to see how they are doing.
