Cherry Creek Academy is a K-8 charter school located at 6260 South Dayton Street, Englewood. The school was founded in 1995 by a group of parents who wanted to provide an alternative school focused on core knowledge and character development.
The shared goal of CCA teachers and parents is to provide an environment that upholds the high expectations of leadership, responsibility, integrity, and compassion. Students have opportunities to engage in volunteer activities and service-based learning. In addition to traditional lessons, students participate in art, music, PE, and computers.
By providing an academically rigorous curriculum paired with character development, students excel and are rewarded for their efforts by earning Eagle Honors Awards.
CCA offers extensive extracurricular activities, including foreign languages, chess, and choir. Athletics for grades 5-8 include CoEd Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Girls Soccer, and Boys Volleyball.
