Greenwood Elementary School is a public school located in Cherry Hills Village. Serving students in pre-K through fifth grade, Greenwood’s enrollment is around 400 students. Greenwood was recognized in 2018 with a John Irwin Award — an award given to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement in math, English and science over time. The school also employs a cross-curricular program that incorporates STEAM in a project-based learning environment. Activities include coding, robotics, engineering with Legos and other tools, computer science and student-driven projects. Greenwood’s physical education program is designed to instill the importance of life-long fitness habits. Greenwood Grizzlies can also participate in a variety of intramural sports and running club, in addition to language clubs, chess and choir. Greenwood is committed to the school district’s mission to inspire every child to think, learn, achieve and care. By providing as many learning experiences as possible, students come away with a love of learning that they will take into middle school and beyond.

Wonderful school. Small size. Same teachers have been there for years. My kid loves going to school, is progressing well, and enjoys his time at the after-school ‘bear club.’ Would highly recommend.

Some teachers were nice and kind, but others make you do problems in complete silence with no engagement at all, some teachers encourage some people to tattle on non-infringing material, like if you have a consensual nickname with somebody that the tattle tale doesn't like, or like if a movie is pg...

We are a new Kindergarten family this year and have been very happy with the school so far. My daughter's class size is a manageable 16 kids and her teacher has 21 years of experience (in general there seems to be great stability among the teachers).
