GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think that Gretna High School is not a bad school. There are good and bad things about the school. The arts and community surrounding the arts are amazing. However academics and college-readiness wise they lack heavy with almost zero freedom within the school.

Gretna High School is a great place to get involved in sports and activities. The staff is always willing to help and there for all students. One change I would like to see at Gretna High School is a different grading system, one that matches college courses.

Gretna has been very instrumental in preparing our daughter for college. The counselors help students understand and prepare for college. They offer personal finance class which it critical. There is something for everyone. Most of the kids kind, polite and happy. It has been a good experience for my daughter

AR is a pain in my neck but I make up the misery with marching and concert band. It's the reason I'm smart, and the reason I come to this school in the first place. Wish I could drive though. Wish my bus didn't pick me up at four...:D

This is a great local public H.S., a superb alternative to area private schools. The leadership is excellent, with high student expectations. Students are strongly encouraged to join extracurricular activities and clubs. I wish there was a school orchestra and greater number of club options, besides...

We were very impressed with the leadership, teaching ability and overall involvement of the community for the high school. Our children had an opportunity to be involved in activities that they would have never been involved in in a larger district. Counselors, teachers and principals were very thor...
