The language arts include reading aloud, small group discussions, literary comprehension and writing poetry, stories and essays. Social studies focus on geography, economics, history and government. Overall the curriculum at Richard Elementary is designed to be "culturally responsive" as well as 'flexible' to promote each student's maximum success. Students attending Richard Elementary enjoy an on-site library and newly appointed playground showcasing state-of-the-art equipment. I would not recommend this school to anyone they don’t care about the students or family and the teachers always send home special needs kids to avoid dealing with them very frustrating

Terrible school unhelpful teachers and staff. They don’t care to teach or show any interest in furthering students education levels. My son will not be attending this horrible school next year

Poor. Teachers do the bare minimum, principal plays favorites among staff and students. Parents concerns are largely ignored or dismissed altogether.

Love this school. Moved to GP for the schools and this school far exceeds expectations. Caring, wonderful teachers who challenge the kids. An amazing music program. The choir teacher is awesome and the 5th graders have an opportunity to learn an instrument. The 5th grade camping trip is the coolest...
