Pierce Middle School serves fifth through eighth graders with a public school education in the city of Grosse Pointe Park and is named after Michigan's first superintendent of public instruction, the Reverend John D. Pierce.
Promoting the motto, "We make memories, we are proud of," Pierce Middle School readies students for rewarding high school careers, emphasizing "perseverance, integrity, empathy, respect, courage and effort."
Pierce Middle School encourages curiosity and celebrates diversity to empower students. Offering a curriculum that supports an inclusive learning environment, Pierce Middle School is dedicated to producing literate and globally-minded students equipped to make "real world" contributions to their respective communities.
In addition to fostering literacy and community preparedness, Pierce Middle School has established a strategic plan that includes academic responsiveness, developed to meet individual students' needs based on their cultural, ethnic and social identifiers.
Students at Pierce Middle School can supplement their academic work with extracurricular enrichment by joining art, math and robotics clubs or the school's green team. Students can also participate in the school's annual play or trip to Washington D.C.
The Trojans compete in girls' volleyball, basketball, wrestling, swimming and track, and Pierce Middle School remains committed to celebrating excellence and challenging scholarship.

Amazing school. My son LOVED IT. He had very caring teachers, counselors and principal. The engaged immediately when there was an issue and I didn't need to beat anyone's door down. Very communicative. Great level of instruction. Very active parent community.

Many of the teachers are wonderful and Pierce is a good school. However, the Principal (Mr. Chris Clark) is completely ineffective and has no skills to manage through conflict and should have been removed from his role years ago.
