GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

West was dedicated to our safety from the start of school my senior year. All year long I felt safe and comfortable anywhere in the buildings they had strict rules, they made examples out of people and no one tried them after that. The counselor were heavily involved with every student future decision they helped me apply to college even when I didn't know what I wanted to do yet. They helped tremendously and I have nothing bad to say about my high school I attended,

It was an overall good school, but I do think that the teachers at Hamilton West could be more involved with the students and their success.

They do not provide you with the best college readiness. They focus on their favorite students and let the rest fend for themselves.

As a former student, this school sucks. Did not help prepare me for the university I went to. The AP courses had very few teachers who actually cared about the subject matter and the students. And it was highly difficult to get any extra help if you were struggling with courses. There are some good...

Miserable experience for both of my kids. Principal is such a poor role model. Counselor’s do not care. While my kids did have some good teachers, I had to spend thousands of dollars on tutors for the teachers that didn’t care. This free public education was not free for me. The building is in compl...
