GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I like this school's programs such as band and sports. I believe that the programs at this school show high levels of excellence and tradition. However, bad behavior and bigotry is tolerated a lot in this school. It's not a good school if you're a minority.

My experience here at Harlingen High School has meant a lot to me. My sophomore year was truly one of my favorites due to football. All the memories I had made with my teammates and coaches is something I will never forget. It has taught me a lot of responsibility in working hard for what I want. It has taught me that when life gets tough just to keep pushing and never give up. One bad experience I had was when i had a bad haircut. There was really no bad experience for me. I truly loved my experience at Harlingen high school. If i was able to relive back to my sophomore year I would.

The bulling at this school is at high levels. The principal will not follow guidelines or rules which h...

I am a former student as well. I had As and Bs in high school. I rarely had homeworks. I didnt do anything in most classes and still passed. I was very behind when I got to college and flunked out my first semester because of my bad habits formed at this school. I had to take remedial math and remed...

I am a former student so I am speaking from experience. This school is a complete joke. Students, especially athletes, are allowed to turn in assignments whenever they want. It could be 7 weeks late but as long as they get it done before the end of the 9 weeks then its okay. Teachers rarely give hom...
