GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I really loved the arts and music/theater program, but the conflicting schedules made it difficult to be a well rounded student. I wished I could have done sports and theater but I instead had my own high school musical moment.

Its a great school, academically and vocationally. The sports are great and everyone is supported and included. The teachers are good.

Whittier is okay. The building is very old so the building feels very dark and a bit spooky at times. The teachers have helped out by putting posters and stuff up so it does not look too bad and they have decorated more over the years I have been here. The teachers are all very good and I have felt I've gotten a good education. My fellow students are also nice and there really isn't any bad people. The best parts of Whittier are definitely the people. I am in the Culinary Arts trade at my school and I love my teachers and love all the people I have met. I have met some of the best people here. I haven't had a bad experience at this school. The food isn't the best so that could be considered one of the worst experiences.

Awful, it was awful. My senior year all they had for food was chicken. Not once a week, it was 2-5 times a week. The teachers do not know how to teach, and there is no preparation at all for college.

Not enough variety of classes. Extra writing support is non existent. My son is in honors math and there are no books or teacher prepared handouts or access to math materials online. Students are expected to take notes, that's it.
