GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been living in Hawthorne my whole life. I have been educated in the Elementary, Middle and now the High School. Not many children love going to school, but in Hawthorne, when you are there they make it worth it. Most of my teacher's have been great and those that I believe to be not so great, are only because they may have called me out on my shenanigans at some point in time. Yes, I was a student who would not sit still. However, I digress, Hawthorne is one of the best communities to live in. We may not have the best schools but we do have the most dedicated staff and parents you will find.

The school is very average. There is not a lot of diversity. This school does not prepare you for college at all.

The academics are not a strong...
