GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Hazelwood West High School has been good so far. I stay to myself at West. I stay to myself because it helps me focus on my academics and it helps me get my work done. Since i'm quiet everyone leaves me alone and no one picks on me. The best part of West is that if you don't feel like being in the cafeteria at lunch you can go to the library where it is a more quiet than the cafeteria. The worst part of West is the students who doesn't behave right. They ruin things for the rest of the students. What I would like to see change at West High School is the behavior.

I hate my daughter has to attend this school. My daughter was bullied and picked on for be a smart s...

"Great Schools.org" is a terrible and biased formula/site. My daughters attended this school, took advantage of all the great opportunities and excelled! A few disgruntled parents and students bring the rating down unfairly.
