GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall an average experience. Resources are limited and good teachers are scarce. School is lacking in funding compared to similarly sized schools around the state. Good administrators are resigning this coming year which will be negative to the school's overall culture.

My time at Helena High School has been a great experience and I have enjoyed the different courses I have been able to complete. I hope to continue my education at a state school and feel well prepared for college.

Overall, a very good educational experience. The AP classes are good, and the teachers are friendly and helpful. The arts program is great; music is HHS's strong suit, and while I personally never took a visual arts class, I heard people really liked them. Some teachers are harder to understand than others, and the workload can be pretty intense, but overall a pretty good school.

There are no words to describe how disappointed I am in my own school. Through my four years i've experience first-hand what it feels like to have your school pride die. I was born a bengal and I will die a bengal, and some people may never understand how much it hurts me to say, 'I have no bengal p...
