Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is proud to provide an affordable private school education for students of all faith backgrounds. More than a third of its students receive financial assistance to attend. Approximately 350 prekindergarten through eighth grade students take classes at the beautiful tree-filled campus on Woodman Avenue and walk to mass next door in the church located on the grounds. Recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education, Our Lady of Lourdes offers advanced and high school credit coursework to enrich its core curriculum. Most of the teachers here hold master’s degrees and have taught for more than a decade. Modeled after a concept created in England, Our Lady of Lourdes organizes students in six houses named after character traits the school strives to cultivate, which are courage, hope, respect, integrity, service and thankfulness. Playgrounds and ball fields fill the 14-acre campus, and student-athletes can join flag football, lacrosse, volleyball, track and field, field hockey and soccer. Extracurricular opportunities include yoga, Zumba, robotics, band, engineering, ukulele, drama and yearbook. Throughout the year students participate in community service activities, and are encouraged to continue charity work outside of school.

I attended Our Lady of Lourdes for eight years, all the way from kindergarten to 7th grade (2014- 2021) and left with a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, Lourdes is much better than the public schools in the area when it comes to academics and safety, but boy do the parents and administration love drama. Lourdes has the common plight of many "nice" schools where the kids are so well behaved that the administration ends up hyper fixating on little things that don't matter. (I once had a friend get sent to the principal's office because a teacher overheard her talking about a picture she sent her friend and they assumed it was cyberbullying...it wasn't but she still got suspended.) The parents had more drama with the administration than most of the kids did though, and I only remember one or two instances of bullying for the entire time I went there. (If your child has behavioral issues or autism, don't send them here.) However, the school overall is very preferable to most public schools.

We love being a part of the Lourdes community! My girls have grown exponentially in their faith and their academics since starting at Lourdes. I can't wait to have my other 2 go through Lourdes as well.

The teachers for the most part are incredibly dedicated and care about the students. They strive to create interesting lessons. Most are more than willing to work with parents and others to help sruggling students. They know the students by name and support them. Some are also involved with extra curricular activities. They give students leadership opportunities. It is hard to say enough good things about them.

Our experience has been nothing short of welcoming, accommodating, and the communication is excellent! Such a blessing, we have seen HUGE improvements with our sons behaviorally, and academically seen being with OLL.

A school with such incredible potential. Sadly, it seems Teachers care more about tuition than students. Children with learning disabilities are thrown under the bus or dismissed as troublemakers if teat feels threatened.

As a Lourdes parent of 13 years and an employee of 6, I can honesty say Lourdes is home. Character building, high-quality academics, and happy kids!
