GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This is a good school where any student can learn and improve their skills. There are many opportunities for all students to excel in whatever they want to do. The school is improving and will continue to improve in the future. There are more ways it could improve including resources for students and being willing to drop everything to help a student. Most of the staff will be there for any student but there are a few that won't. The school will continue to improve as the years go on and it will become a better place for all students.

I have enjoyed my time at Herrin High School. It's a small town high school with some great staff, classes, administration, and school spirit.

My high school experience has been very bland, there has not been a whole lot to do outside of school, working, and maintaining my social life. The amount of extra curricular activities offered is very high, the only downfall behind this school is the amount of teachers that students will not like and the food is not top tier.
