GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

STEM has been a great school. I am finally academically challenged. The classes are fun and the teachers are really good. This school does not hold you back. You can advance as much as you are able. I feel like it provides a good opportunity for me and will help me succeed in the future.

Stem has been a great school for me. I have gone to this school for over 9 years now and have learned so much and been provided with so many opportunities. The clubs and extracurricular activities have taken me all over the country competing for national titles in many subjects including business and robotics. In my time here I've watched the school grow and adapt expanding our athletics department by adding a gym and competing against other competitive schools. Lastly STEM has given me the largest opportunities regarding my learning both there concurrent enrolment program and off campus college classes have prepared me for what's to come and advanced my learning at a rate I haven't seen at other schools.

Overall, we are satisfied with the opportunities available through STEM. The teachers are nice, and knowledgeable, and the coaches as well. We love the HighSchool Dean, Ryan Alsup. The only concern we have is the PTO, and the division between the parents of seasoned parents, versus new parents.

I have two kids at STEM in 5th and in 9th grade. I am hoping to find a better environment for them, but looking at other school ratings it seems like most of the schools in the state are in disarray. My oldest has been at STEM since 6th grade and my youngest has been there for two years. I feel like...

Whereas I would have given STEM a 5 star rating in the past, the leadership at STEM combined with the STEM Board of Directors leads me to make a one star review. Their constant avoidance of addressing issues, hearing parent concerns, or taking accountability has led this school to crumble. The toxic...

We have all 3 of our children at STEM and have been a STEM family for over 5 years. Yes, COVID and online school and back to in-person school has been tough but STEM has tried VERY hard to keep our kids education a priority. This is a priority for us and therefore are very glad that we were at STEM...
