GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This is a very small town high school, so you know everyone. The teachers also typically grew up in Hillsboro or around the area. It is not the best school, but they are a lot better than other small town schools in the area.

I always walk down the hallways with teachers yelling students yelling. Its very overwhelming, sometimes I just cant stand it.

As a student at Hillsboro High School, I have had a good experience with all of the exceptional teachers and faculty. They are always willing to help their students along their high school journey. Since it is a smaller school, there are not as many clubs or academic opportunities as other schools. Going forward, it would be great to see different options for students who would like to pursue something different than what is already provided at the high school.
