GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The teachers are so kind and caring! You can tell how much they love and care for their students! Each and every teacher will work their hardest to ensure that you are learning to the best of your ability and are always willing to help. You can feel the kindness and compassion in the building as soon as you step into it.

The school itself is a very nice school. The staff at the school most of them are willing to go above and beyond for you. They are always their for you even if you don't know it. The students their are pretty friendly to new people. The food is very lacking.

As a senior, most of my time at Summers County High School has been great. However, I wish there were more classes to choose from such as more AP classes and electives. For the most part I loved all of my teachers. I think more emphasis should be placed on academics than sports. Help students find what their passionate about. That passion could help a student decide to go to college and encourage good grades in the classroom.

administration only cares about money and not the children. many teachers aren’t certified. school lunch is literally appalling. its pretty obvious that the admin are super lazy too. kids with special needs are put to work without receiving any instruction throughout the day. they take out the trash...

A great school in a safe environment. Teachers are helpful and they care about their students. Could not ask for a better school.
