GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At LaRue County, you are truly valued, the teachers are wonderful and caring, and they truly are invested in helping teach students, on whatever subject they may need, we also have a wide avriety of atheltics that are offered to students, that are well manaaged and properly funded. We also have several clubs and extra curriculars that allow for students to get more inolved with their school, and with their community.

Counselors do not help at all. If you email to try and talk to them they ignore you. I tried multiple times and even after a few months I never got a response. Some teachers do care but some of them are only there for the money and it's obvious due to how they treat their students. If you mess up once they will blame many things on you even if you are not around. I'm currently doing dual credit classes and the only way I know what's going on at the high school is by talking to my friend. They do not keep you informed if you are not there yet they highly encourage you to do anything so you do not have to go.

I liked the small town atmosphere; however, I wish the food and facilities would be improved upon. My experience at LCHS was an overall excellent experience and I believe it is one of the best schools to attend in the region.
