GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

San Benito High School, now known as Hollister High School, is the only high school in Hollister, California. It currently has an estimated 3,000+ students and growing. Even in the process of building new buildings to keep up with the student growth.

I attended San Benito for 4 years and graduated 6/9/23. It's a big school and it was very overwhelming at first since I wasn't used to the number of students. I came from small schools so it was quite the culture shock. They definitely need to do a better job at controlling the fights at the school.

Great selection of AP classes. Love all the career pathways set up for kids to choose the right courses for if they are going to college or trade school. Counselors are very approachable and hands on with meeting students about their classes and goals.
